Guidelines

To keep our facilities in the best condition, we need the help and cooperation of the people who use them. By adhering to these guidelines, you will help create a well-run and well-used fitness center:

  • To ensure a comfortable and safe atmosphere for all patrons, please be courteous and respectful of others.
  • Report any equipment issues or concerns to our staff immediately.
  • Secure personal items in the lockers downstairs.
  • Remove/re-rack all weights immediately after use.
  • During busy times, please limit use of cardio machines to 30 minutes.
  • Spotters are recommended for free weight lifting. 
  • Wipe down all equipment when done.
  • Return all equipment to where it belongs immediately after use.
  • Return fitness center towels immediately following your workout to the first floor or second floor towel collection bins.
  • Bags, coats, sports equipment, helmets, umbrellas, etc. are NOT permitted in the fitness center.
  • Water in a plastic water bottle with a top is permitted in the fitness center, but food and other beverages are not allowed.
  • Patrons must wear workout attire throughout their workout in the fitness center. Workout attire includes a workout shirt (t-shirt, dry fit shirt, tank top, sports top, athletic shorts, yoga shorts/pants or sweatpants; clean and dry sneakers).
  • Patrons are not permitted to wear jeans, dress pants, cutoff shorts, opened-toed shoes, boots, flip flops, sandals, slippers, boat shoes, etc. Patrons not wearing a workout shirt will be asked to put a shirt on to work out in the fitness center.
  • Lifting weight should be controlled on every repetition. Dropping and/or rebounding weights off the floor is not acceptable. Violations of this rule will result in dismissal from the fitness center.
  • Chalk (dry/liquid/spray) is not permitted. Violations of this rule will result in dismissal from the fitness center.
  • Unauthorized personal training or rehabilitation services are not permitted.
  • Personal use of cellular phones and tablets are permitted with headphones. Use of cellular phones, tablets, or portable devices for photography or videotaping is strictly prohibited.
  • Service animals are welcome in the fitness center. Non-service animals are not permitted.
  • When patrons are unable or unwilling to adhere to these rules and regulations, they will be asked to leave until they are able to adhere to the policies of the fitness center.
  • Violation of any policy or any actions deemed inappropriate may result in the participant's membership being suspended or revoked. Any member displaying inappropriate actions (abusing equipment, verbal abuse of personnel or other members, etc.) will have violated established policies and procedures.
