Faculty Council
The Faculty Council consists of representatives of the departments and programs in the School of Arts and Sciences and the Hajim School. Most formally, the Council makes decisions concerning curriculum. But the Council also has a role in setting standards for promotion and tenure; recruiting, evaluating, and retaining administrators; and co-curricular aspects of student life. The Council is chaired by the chair of the Steering Committee, who is elected by the Steering committee at the end of each Spring Semester. The committee convenes once per month during the academic year with an All-Faculty Council meeting/reception in September and February.
