The role of research in Arts, Sciences and Engineering (AS&E) at the University of Rochester is integral to the growth and sustainability of our 21+ research centers and 25+ academic programs. Our faculty are world-renowned scientists and scholars in their respective fields and recognized as such through honorific and grant awards, and scholarly work of the highest quality.

As Dean for Research in Arts, Sciences & Engineering, I lead our faculty in advancing innovative, cross-cutting themes and strategic programming to increase our external funding, grants and awards that support faculty diversity, and collaborations across colleges. During my tenure, we will raise the university research profile and deepen the institution’s commitment to making Rochester a place where a diverse group of scientist, scholars and theoreticians collaborate and thrive.

Our AS&E research support team advance our impact as an R1 research institution through fostering of an exceptional research environment. We look forward to working with you on furthering your research and scholarship. Reach out to any of our team or visit us at 317 Lattimore Hall.
