Add a little Rochester to your reading list

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, more people have turned to reading—for comfort, for escape, or for learning. Still others, including a significant number of University faculty and staff from across disciplines, turned to writing. If you’ve been looking to add a little Rochester to your to-read list, here are a few handpicked selections featured in Rochester Review.

In today’s issue:

  • The World Universities Network research development fund for 2022 is now open
  • Register for a webinar on the future of biopsychosocial care
  • Attend Memorial Art Gallery’s upcoming event in the Centennial Sculpture Park
FOR FACULTY AND STAFF

Do you hate to exercise?

Many Americans don’t get enough exercise because they don’t enjoy the sweat or the effort. With Well-U’s “Fitness 101: Get Started” program beginning on August 23, you can explore activity options that fit your lifestyle and preferences.

World Universities Network research development fund 2022

The World Universities Network research development fund 2022 is now open. The annual competitive fund is aimed at bringing together researchers to undertake innovative, high-quality, sustainable research that addresses global challenges. Each member institution is permitted to lead two proposals per year but can collaborate on as many as desired. If you are interested in leading a proposal effort or would like more information, contact Megan Bennett-Spears. View the guidelines and more information on the Global website. Internal applications are due Monday, September 12.

Tuition reimbursement reminder

Faculty and staff: To ensure timely tuition reimbursement for the summer 2022 semester, proof of tuition cost, payment, and successful course completion need to be received by the Office of Total Rewards via email no later than 90 days following course completion. Find more information here.
