Spring 2021 Drop/Add Deadline: February 26

The last day for undergraduate students in the College to add or drop/delete courses from their schedule is Friday, February 26. If you wish to drop a course, you should log into UR Student and follow these instructions. In order to add a course, you must use a drop/add form and submit email permission from the course instructor. All Hajim students are required to have the permission of their undergraduate coordinator in order to make any schedule changes. If you have a question about your schedule, you are encouraged to consult with your academic advisor or with an advisor in the College Center for Advising Services.

Spring 2021 S/F Deadline: March 1

The deadline for undergraduates in the College to elect up to two courses completed during the fall 2020 semester on the S/F grading policy is Monday, March 1. You may use one “S” grade from a course taken S/F in fall 2020 to partially satisfy requirements for a cluster. Additional details of the policy are described here. Please remember that eligibility for Dean’s List is contingent upon the completion of at least 12 credits with normal letter grades. The form to declare the S/F grading option is available here.

Travel Reminder

Undergraduate students attending classes or residing on campus need to remain in Rochester (within 100 miles) for the duration of the in-person spring semester. This protocol helps prevent the introduction of COVID-19 cases to campus from different parts of the country. If you need to depart campus outside of the 100-mile radius, you must appeal directly to your dean for permission to leave. If granted permission, you must follow the current NYS testing and quarantine requirements—regardless of where you traveled to or from—before returning to campus housing or being on campus for any reason. You may be responsible for the costs associated with any required quarantine, including hotel and testing if Whipple Park is not available or if UHS does not have the capacity to provide a COVID-19 test.

Extra Student Spaces Available to Safely Meet, Study, Dine

With current COVID-19 restrictions limiting traditional gathering campus spaces for students, spaces have been specifically created to safely accommodate students’ different meeting needs. Find more information on designated areas for meals and snacks; general study spaces; reserving a space for a remote class or private appointment through the Event and Classroom Management Form; and reserving space for practicing music for students at the Eastman School of Music and on River Campus.
