Winter Stay Deadlines

The Winter Stay housing application is due December 15. You must be living on campus in spring 2023 to be eligible. Find more information here and email winterstayhousing@reslife.rochester.edu with questions. Financial support is available for students with demonstrated financial need—those currently receiving federal or institutional aid based on the 2022–23 financial aid application—and will be applied on a sliding scale.

If you anticipate facing food insecurity during Winter Stay, submit a support request to the Basic Needs Hub by December 15. The hub will be operating on a limited schedule from December 23 through January 2. Applications after December 15 for Winter Stay support will still be reviewed, but the timeline for decisions may be slower. Eligibility and decision-making guidelines are available on the Hub website. The Food Pantry will also be open for students during Winter Stay.

Flu Vaccine Resources

University leaders sent a message last week emphasizing efforts to prevent the spread of the flu virus—including getting a flu shot. You can schedule an appointment for a flu shot through UHSConnect or by calling UHS at (585) 275-2662.
