Is there a project, program, or area of the University and its Medical Center that you feel passion for? Consider becoming a Champion to help spread the word about the campaign to others.
Champions lend their voice to a campaign by sharing their passion for the cause and reaching out to their networks on social media, email, phone, or whatever medium they are most comfortable with. When you share your personal appeal, and your meaningful connection to the cause, you will inspire others to give their support, too.
To Become a Champion for the University, please take the following steps:
1. Choose the campaign you wish to champion.
2. Click on the ‘Get your personal share link’ button in the ‘Become a Champion’ box on the right-hand side of the campaign page.
3. Input your email to join the community of champions.
4. You will receive an email from info@communityfunded.com (this is our crowdfunding vendor.) Check your spam folder if it is not in your inbox. Follow the prompts in the email to finish logging in.
5. Once logged into the champion tool, click ‘edit’.
6. Fill out the information listed¬—set your personal fundraising or donor goal and write your personal appeal message. Be sure to share why you care about the campaign and ask people for their support directly. Hit ‘save changes’ when done.
7. You are now ready to share your personal appeal through your social networks or by copying and pasting your personal fundraising link into a message.
