Campaign Areas of Focus

for the School of Nursing:

As the needs of our students, faculty, and the health care industry change, so too will the
opportunities for donors looking to transform health care. A gift in the following areas
helps us better prepare for current challenges and proactively plan for the future.

INNOVATION FUNDS

Imagine the possibility of slowing cognitive
impairment in the elderly or developing a way to
protect minds from depression. By supporting

our innovation funds, you give nurse scientists
and clinicians the opportunity to pursue creative
solutions and develop new models of care. This pilot

and bridge funding is often enough to yield results
that lead to additional funding from the National
Institutes of Health and major foundations.

ENDOWED PROFESSORSHIPS

Professorships allow us to recognize and recruit

faculty whose scholarly achievements have attracted
national and/or international attention. These
enduring funds enable us to compete successfully
for senior faculty, and as a result, attract the most

promising students and research funding. Endowed
professorships help the School of Nursing enhance
its reputation and visibility and further efforts to
build a community of scholars and future leaders.
