THOMPSON HEALTH
• More than 330,000 patients in the Finger Lakes region
received critical health care services, including expert
emergency care, surgical care, and women’s health services.
• The Emergency Department received a dedicated CT
scanner, which ensures patients experiencing life-
threatening emergencies can receive an immediate
diagnosis, 24 hours a day.
• Enhancements were made to the technology caregivers
rely on to quickly diagnose and control rapidly changing
and challenging health conditions.
• Thompson became the first care provider in the state to
offer the revolutionary SafeGait 360° Balance and
$59,650 Mobility Trainer® in a full-time, outpatient setting. The
Pledged
system gives individuals with a variety of impairments
support and fall protection as they practice walking,
improving strength, and overcoming balance concerns.

HOME CARE
• More than 2,000 Meals On Wheels volunteers delivered
230,000 nutritious meals to 1,500 homebound
recipients throughout Monroe County
• The Nurse-Family Partnership Program helped improve
the health, well-being, and self-sufficiency of 275 low-
income, first-time mothers and their children.
• Achieved the only four-star quality rating for a home
care agency in the Rochester region, according to the
Centers for Medicare Medicaid Service.
• Compassionate, end-of-life care was provided to more
$383,550 than 1,200 patients and their families, including a free
Pledged bereavement summer camp for children.
• The Telehealth Program made use of a state-of-the-art,
in-home device to monitor blood pressure, weight,
heart rate, and oxygen levels to significantly reduce
re-hospitalization rates and improve patient
health outcomes.
