Crisis Resources

We recognize that our international students, scholars, faculty, and staff may experience times of crisis, anxiety, and isolation. The Office for Global Engagement can assist during these difficult times.

We have compiled a list of helpful resources below. Should our international students and scholars not find what they need, the University Counseling Center (UCC) also hosts support sessions specifically focused on the experiences and needs of international students each Friday from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. Additional support and outreach groups are also available for undergraduate students, graduate students, and other identity and/or specific issue-focused groups. To see a list of all support groups, click here.

The International Services Office (ISO) is also willing to connect and discuss other ways in which the office can support you through times of difficulty. This may involve connecting students with others on campus for shared support, organizing panel discussions for the larger University community, etc. Please contact Wendy Fritz in ISO at wfritz@ur.rochester.edu with questions or ideas.

If you need immediate help for a mental health crisis, call the University Counseling Center at 585-275-3113.
