WALK THIS WAY: Whitney Holmes ’09 of Sebastopol, Calif., and Gustavo Navarette ’09 of San Juan, Puerto Rico, model the latest ensemble worn by the Meridians, a group of select students who help the Admissions Office staff. And, no, the shirts are not on backward: One of the Meridians’ main duties is to lead campus tours and answer questions from prospective students and their parents. To do that well, the students spend a lot of time walking in reverse in order to face their charges while they talk about the University. So, to “follow” a Meridian, you have to face them.
