The River Campus Sports Complex serves as a multi-purpose facility which accommodates the students, faculty/staff, and the community. To request space you must be a recognized UR student group or department. For facility rentals for groups outside of the university please visit our rentals page.
Reservation priority will be decided in the following order:
1. Intercollegiate (in-season varsity contests and practices)
2. Intercollegiate (out-of-season varsity practices)
4. Club Sports
5. Varsity sport fundraising
6. Other SA recognized clubs
7. UR Groups
8. Non UR Groups
Semester reservations are welcomed and can be made starting:
Electronic requests for reservations may be submitted by one member of the recognized student group or department. A profile must be created for this individual. Each group may request up to 2 two-hour practice sessions per week. Three weeks into the semester, a third practice may be requested. Every effort will be made to approve requests, but space is not guaranteed. Please read your confirmations carefully as not all dates may be granted. Membership: You must be a matriculated, full-time, undergraduate or graduate student or an R Club member.
Entering the Complex: You must have a valid UR I.D. in order to activate the turnstiles and enter the building. The main entrance to the Goergen Athletic Center is facing Dandelion Square along Library Road. Members who are less than 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult member.
Reserving Racquet Courts: Students and R Club members may reserve courts electronically. To create an account, please contact the R Club office. Reservations are limited to one hour playing time per day for singles and/or doubles. Outdoor courts at the Peter Lyman Tennis Center are available on a first come, first served basis unless reserved by programs sponsored by Athletics & Recreation.
UR Groups: Recognized sports groups may reserve facilities, lounges, and meeting rooms. Coaches and/or student leaders must call (585) 275‑9465.

Equipment: Recreational equipment is available on a daily basis. Present a valid UR ID at the Central Issue window to barrow recreational equipment.
Locks: Lockers are available to rent near the Aquatic Center and in the Hajim Alumni Gym. One-year as well as semester rentals are available. Towel service is included. Rentals are accepted at the Information Desk. A limited number of day-use-only lockers are available in the hallways for personal use.
Food/Beverages: Located in the vending/concession area.
Smoking: The University is a smoke-free environment.
Handicapped Accessibility: The entire Goergen Athletic Center is handicapped accessible. Contact the Information Desk at (585) 275-7643 (TTY) for additional information.
Security: Secure your valuables! The Department of Athletics and Recreation is not liable for loss.
Guests: Members may bring guests (16 years or older). Members are requested to accompany their guests at all times.
Parking: A parking permit is required to park on campus between 7:30am and 7pm, Monday - Friday. City metered parking is available along Wilson Boulevard. Contact the Parking Office at 275-3983 for further information.
