Caitlin O'Brien, a native of Carver, Massachusetts, joined the University of Rochester’s Athletic Department in 2021.

She spent her previous three years as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Adrian College in Michigan. At Adrian, she was a preceptor for the college’s Athletic Training Education Program and worked with such sports as men's lacrosse, women's wrestling, basketball and volleyball.

While attaining her masters degree at Ithaca College, O'Brien worked with the field hockey team and other various off-season sports. 

Caitlin started her career at The University of Hartford where she was an Intern Athletic Trainer working with the women's volleyball team.

O'Brien completed her undergraduate degree in athletic training at Ithaca College, graduating in 2016. While at Ithaca, she was a four-year starter for the Bombers field hockey team. O'Brien was a 2-time All-Empire 8 selection and earned NFHCA All-Region praise as a senior in 2015.

She resides in Rochester with her fiance, Ryne, and their dog, Simon.
