Social Justice Debates Champions

This past weekend UR Debate traveled to Newark, New Jersey to compete at the Rutgers Social Justice Debates East Coast Opener. We take great pride in reporting that team Rochester CR (Emily Cook and Ashaz Rahman) finished as champions after weeks of work preparing to debate about food justice and policy. Emily was also named 7th speaker in Varsity, and new member Chenshu Huang finished as 10th speaker in the novice division at her first tournament!

We look forward to our next Social Justice Debate event at the University of Vermont in a few weeks!
