Lisa Sarnoff Gochman, a deputy attorney general in the Trenton, N.J., Division of Criminal Justice, e-mails that she defended the constitutionality of New Jersey's hate crime statute before the U.S. Supreme Court in March 2000. Family and friends in attendance in the court were her husband, Steven Gochman '79, her sister, Jill Sarnoff Riola '76, and classmate Michael Remez. "Cheering Mom on silently was Steve's and my 10-year-old son, Jordan," she notes. . . . Bill '83M (Res) and Shauna Allen Tucker sent a photo to announce the June 2000 birth of their new daughter, Whitney Gabrielle. She joins her sister, Caroline, 2. The Tuckers recently moved to Fayetteville, N.Y., and Bill has his ophthalmology practice in Syracuse.

Roberta Babbitt and her husband, Nathan Rosen, e-mail an announcement of the birth of their daughter, Brina Tamar, born on July 11, 2000. She joins Marielle, 16, Alyssa, 13, and twins, Daniel and Zachary, 2. The family lives in Baltimore, Md. Robbie is on the faculty at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the Kennedy Krieger Institute's department of behavioral psychology. . . . Diane Heinze e-mails that she has been living in the Bay Area of California since graduation and is an environmental engineer with the Port of Oakland. She adds "I can happily say that I've never had to dig my way out of a driveway to get to work!" She has two children: daughter, Regina, 6, and son, Adrian, 3. . . . John Milan e-mails an update: He is the office manager and systems analyst for Buckeye Council, Inc., of the Boy Scouts of America, in Canton, Ohio. He writes that he, his wife, Kathy, and 16-year-old daughter, Beth, are doing well. Classmates can e-mail John at jmilan@cannet.com. . . . Jude Sauer (see Alumni Gazette, page 46). . . . Tom Tweedie sends an update: 18 years after graduation he has returned to Rochester. In June 1999, he was named vice president of marketing at Electromark in Wolcott, N.Y. Tweedie, his wife, Diana, and their two children, Ashleigh, 9, and Bandon, 7, live in Webster.

Norbert Markert has been named president of Pilkington's North American automotive glass and modular products original equipment business. Pilkington is a developer and manufacturer of glass products with operations in 22 countries. . . . Gregory Voit '87M (MD) has joined the medical staff at Shore Memorial Hospital at Somers Point, N.J.

Eric Bergman is the editor of Information Appliances and Beyond, a book that explores how cell phones, personal digital assistants, and other non-PC technology are developed and used. He also e-mails: "I still wonder about the whereabouts of former roommates Jim Chenault and John Finch." . . . Mary Close e-mails that she is an individual consultant with TIAA-CREF in Denver. . . . Anne Sturtz has joined the law firm of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease, L.L.P., as an attorney in the firm's office in Columbus, Ohio. She practices in the health care group.

Peter Braffman e-mails that he lives in New York City with his wife, Liz Wedlan, and their daughter, Samantha, born December 21, 1999. . . . "Greetings to the Class of 1985," e-mails Jennifer Fray. She writes that she has earned her doctorate in psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and had begun her search for a post-doc position. . . . Mark and Mary-Frances Pizzimenti Garber e-mail an announcement of the birth of their daughter, Emma Christine, on May 29, 2000. They write that older sisters Olivia and Claudia are very excited. The Garbers have settled into their new home in Needham, Mass. Mary has stopped working as a genetic counselor after 11-plus years. Mark is working for a start-up company, Equipe Communications, in Acton, Mass. . . . David Grebber e-mails that he and his wife, Elissa, have a new son, Jacob Noah, born on August 11, 2000. He joins brother, Benjamin, and sister, Rachel. . . . Theodore Hart is a founding partner of the Grand, Stevens, & Hart Group. . . . Robin Jaskow e-mails: "I've just released my first CD! It's called Day of Rest and consists mainly of Sabbath songs in Hebrew recorded in multiple tracks by one voice-mine-to give the effect of a small choir. It will be available for purchase at www.cdbaby.com. Anyone who is interested can go to the site and hear clips from the disc." . . . Kirsten Johnson e-mails an update. She married John Adams II on October 2, 1999, in Guilford, Conn. Attending the wedding were Jill and Mitchell Roberts, Laurie and Jonathan Goldheim, Tim Dunne '87S (MBA), Susan Franz Natale, Joanne Decker '84, and her husband, Dennis Durbin. Kirsten and John live in San Francisco, where Kirsten works as the director of sales and new business development for www. justgive.org, a nonprofit Web site that connects people with charities and causes. . . . Michael Puttre e-mails that he is editor of Custom Electronics Pro magazine, based in Wayland, Mass. . . . Kerri Rivera sent an update: She met Steven Spezza while vacationing at Club Med Turkoise in 1995 and the two were married in March 1998. Steven is a manager for Toys R Us. "Good thing because we were blessed with twin baby boys (John Lester and Paul Anthony) in September 1999," Kerri writes. She was promoted to a key account manager for Mylan Pharmaceuticals and has returned to work full time in the New York City area. She reports that she still keeps in touch with Kelly Morris Thome. . . . Steven Robiner reported: "In addition to running the Internet marketing agency, Ad-Up.com, I recently completed touring with a film I produced called Damned if You Do starring David Allen Grier of In Living Color fame. The film won the Crested Butte Gold Award, took first place at the Cleveland International Film Festival, and received the Best Short Award at the Hollywood Film Festival." . . . Diana Satin and her husband, Steve Quann, have published Learning Computers, Speaking English: Cooperative Activities for Learning English and Basic Word Processing (University of Michigan Press). The book gives English as a Second Language students practice in English by leading them through computer-based activities. . . . Eric Steinberg has been named vice president of Television and Research at CBS Television.

Susan Mayer '88 (MS) and her husband, Seth Berlin, write to say that they are living in Chevy Chase, Md., with their daughter, Ruby, 2, and her new little brother, Ian Mayer Berlin, who was born on September 22, 2000. . . . Mark '91M (MD) and Anne Sheradsky Mittler '88E e-mail: "After eight years in Rochester, seven years in Rhode Island, and a year in Los Angeles, we have relocated to our native region of Long Island. We now have three children: Jonah, 51/2, Allyson, 21/2, and Morgan, almost 1 year old. Mark is a pediatric neurosurgeon with Long Island Neurosurgical Associates. It's amazing how well our kids tolerated two cross-country moves within a year. We're still recovering, but things are great here." . . . David Soroka and his wife, Nora, write to announce the birth of their second daughter, Taylor Emily, on April 2, 2000. David is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Grand Forks, N.D. . . . Corinna Ulrich has been named vice president for legal and business affairs for Belo Interactive, Inc. . . . Lorie Baker Wijntjes e-mails that she and her husband have twin daughters, Allison and Amanda, born on November 29, 1999. Lori is a director at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and the family lives in Bowie, Md.

Kathy Norris Buckley and Sean Buckley '89S (MBA) e-mail to announce that their daughter, Erin Elizabeth, 3, is now a big sister. Her little brother, Ryan Daniel, was born on September 26, 2000. The Buckleys live in Penfield, N.Y. . . . Michelle Creighton writes that she married Martin Kaufman on September 3, 2000, in Washington, D.C. She is a school psychologist for the Baltimore County public schools and Marty is an educational consultant for Seibel Systems. . . . Carmen Caruana Eldridge asks that we share a photograph of her and her husband, Richard. The couple, whose May 29, 1999, wedding was announced in the Spring-Summer 2000 issue, lives in Indian Head, Md. . . . Randi Kutzin-Constant e-mails an update: "I got married in June 1993 to Gary Constant and we now have a beautiful daughter, Samantha." The family lives in New Jersey. . . . Michael Liu e-mails that he has been doing postgraduate work in structural biology at SUNY Stony Brook. He has published two papers in the Journal of Biological Chemistry and Structure about work performed at Brookhaven National Lab Beamline. During 2000-2001, he was working with computational chemistry. "Interestingly enough, my degree from Rochester was a B.A. in psychology and cognitive science," he notes. . . . Peter Lymm writes that he graduated in May 2000 with his executive M.B.A. from the University of New Haven. . . . Andre Marciano e-mails an update: He left New York City nearly four years ago to work in Milwaukee for Miller Brewing Company, where he is manager of sports marketing. He has received an M.B.A. from the J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Andre and his wife, Ann, have two children: Justin Daniel, 20 months old, and Colette Alana, born on August 11, 2000. . . . Ann Howard Phillips writes that after working as an archivist in the Washington, D.C., area for several years, she is enjoying staying at home in Pittsburgh with her 1-year-old son, Cameron. . . . Beth Valentine Quattrociocchi and her husband, John, sent a photo to announce the arrival of their son, Benjamin John, on October 30, 1999. He weighed 9 lbs., 11 oz. and was 23 1/4 inches long. . . . Robert Wiesenthal has been named executive vice president and chief strategy officer of the new Sony Broadband Entertainment Unit. . . . C. Anthony Wolfe, Jr. e-mails that he and his wife, Lisa, have a new daughter, Eva Leigh. She was born on October 12, 2000, weighing 6 lbs., 1 oz., and measuring 191/4 inches long. Eva lives with her parents and sister, Caroline, in Elkton, Md. After completing his residency in family practice at Virtua-Memorial Hospital of Burlington County in Mount Holly, N.J., Anthony joined the Chesapeake Family Practice Group. He also has his own private practice in Rising Sun, Md.

Michael Aronica and his wife, Mary, e-mail to announce the birth of their third child, Marykate. "Meghan and Madeline just love their new little sister," Michael writes. He adds that he is enjoying his job with the division of internal medicine and pediatrics at the SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine. His clinical duties are based at the Elmwood Health Center and Children's Hospital of Buffalo. . . . Daniel Blecker e-mails that he is living in Indiana. "I would love to hear from any of my buddies from the class of 1989. Go Colts!" . . . Brigid Brennan (see '90). . . . Eric Fitzgerald has joined the Rochester law firm of Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin. . . . Naomi Tucker Harris e-mails that in August 1999 she married Lenny Harris. They live in Pittsburgh with their new daughter, Margo Rose, born June 10, 2000, and Naomi's children from her previous marriage, Benjamin Wahlberg, 7, and Hannah Wahlberg, 3. Naomi is a vocational specialist working with people with mental illness. . . . John Horn has joined the Buffalo office of the law firm Harter, Secrest & Emery, L.L.P., as an associate in the litigation department. . . . Sandy Kapoor writes that he has been appointed medical director of the Los Angeles Jewish Home for the Aging. He also is an assistant professor of geriatric medicine at UCLA. . . . Brian Ketchel reports that he changed jobs in March 1999 to work for JDS Uniphase as a test engineer in his home state of New Jersey. He writes that Mary Anne Lenihan '87 is still his "significant other" and that they have moved into a new home in Millstone, N.J. Mary Anne transferred to her company's Manhattan office, where she is senior attorney editor at West Group. Brian adds: "A fresh keg of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale has just been tapped, so if anyone is in the central New Jersey area, give us a call and stop by for a beer (or more, preferably).". . . Mary Pat Lavery Peters '91W (MS) e-mails: "Chris and I moved our family (Alaina, 6, Shaun, 4, and Ryan, 19 months) back to Washington State in February 2000. We had lived here previously, when Chris was stationed in Bremerton, and we are very happy to be back! Chris has taken a position at Intel and I am working at home with our children." . . . Peter Spira e-mails that he married Judy Kwietniewski of South Buffalo on April 20, 2000. . . . Kevin Sullivan '94 (PhD) has been named vice president of engineering at WaveSplitter Technologies, a worldwide supplier of fiber optic components based in Denver.
