Nicholas Borelli (PhD) is the author of Microoptics Technology: Fabrication and Application of Lens Arrays and Devices (Marcel Dekker, Inc.). "[T]he book is an amazing blend of practical interdisciplinary knowledge and a very natural presentation style," wrote a reviewer in the January 2000 issue of Optics and Photonics News. "I can't think of a specialist in any optics-related discipline who would not benefit from reading this book."

The company was formed when Empatheon merged with eBioinformatics, Inc. Manian also is a member of the University's Board of Trustees. . . . Charles Munnerlyn (PhD) received the Engineer of the Year award from Design News magazine for his work as chief inventor for the laser surgery used for vision correction.
