1970
Gerry Itkin may live in Portland, Ore., but he makes a habit of leading tours to exotic locations throughout the world. He writes that he led his second trip to East Africa in February and plans to return to Africa next June to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, go on a safari in the Serengeti, and explore Zanzibar. Other recent trips included bike tours of Ireland and France, hiking in Hawaii, and numerous alpine ascents in the Pacific Northwest. Anyone interested in joining a future trip may contact him at gerald@itkin.net.

Joel Bonder ’71

Bonder

Joel Bonder has joined the Washington, D.C., law firm of Bryan Cave as a member of its real estate group. Before joining Bryan Cave, he was employed by the Apartment Investment and Management Company, where he was executive vice president and general counsel.

Michael Durham, an honorary member of the Trustees’ Alumni Council of the College, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Asbury Automotive Group. . . . President George W. Bush nominated Suedeen Kelly as a member of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. She is an attorney in New Mexico and a law professor at the University of New Mexico School of Law. . . . David Ross was appointed first justice of the Orange District Court in Orange, Mass., last November.

Dae Whan Chang is president and publisher of Maeil Business Newspaper and TV, a leading business news media group in Korea.

1975
Ronald Shapiro writes, “I have been elected as a fellow in the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society. Human Factors is essentially a combination of applied
experimental psychology and industrial engineering.”

1976
Heidi Zimmer-Meyer became the newest president of the Rochester Downtown Development Corp., an economic development agency, last November. . . . Pat Yuzawa-Rubin has been appointed to the Trustees’ Alumni Council of the College. She is associate vice president of grants and community services for the Jewish Federation of Chicago and president of the Chicago chapter of the national Japanese-American Citizens League.

Terry Gillen has been named policy director of the Pennsylvania Community and Economic Development Office. Terry lives in Philadelphia. . . . Jean McCreary, partner in the energy and environmental practice group of Nixon Peabody, was one of 25 women nominated for Rochester’s 17th annual Athena Award honoring local women in business. . . . Margaret Moore has joined the New York City investment management firm American Century as senior investment analyst.

Jeanne Grove ’86M (Res), senior attending physician at Rochester General Hospital and clinical instructor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical Center, was one of 25 women nominated for Rochester’s 17th annual Athena Award honoring local women in business.

Attorney Sharon Porcellio, of Buffalo, has joined a New York state panel to examine the process of jury service in order to suggest ways to make jury duty more productive and efficient for the public.
