Required Qualifications of Candidates

The ideal candidate is an MSW graduate from an accredited program in Social Work.  Candidate must obtain New York State LMSW license or limited permit license prior to starting the position. The candidate should also have relevant clinical experience, providing direct psychotherapy, assessment, and crisis intervention services. They are interested in working collaboratively on a multidisciplinary team, is familiar with electronic medical records, and is comfortable with managing a busy and demanding clinical schedule.

Please include:

  • A letter of introduction that discusses relevant experience and how the fellowship relates to your career goals.
  • A current vita or resume
  • A list of three professional references, at least one of which must be a recent clinical supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications of Candidates

Candidates are considered closely when their applications reflect:

    • experience providing psychotherapy that has breadth and depth
    • openness to supervision
    • commitment to cultural sensitivity
    • ethical and professional conduct
    • experience with campus counseling and consultation

Stipend and Benefits

Fellowship positions are for twelve months. Positions begin August 1st and end July 31st, a second year is negotiable. Each position carries a stipend of $55,341 (for 12 months), with a professional development stipend. Fellows are eligible for 20 paid vacation days, 5 paid professional days, and nine University holidays.

Each fellow has a private, furnished office equipped with a personal computer and digital recording equipment.
