Warner School of Education

  • Several initiatives for the Educational Partnership Organization (EPO) that could not be supported by public funds were made possible. Since July 1, 2015, under the leadership of Project Director Steve Uebbing and EPO Superintendent Shaun Nelms, the Warner School has been overseeing a comprehensive school turn-around for East High School, under the new EPO legislation in New York State.
  • With a grant from the Spencer Foundation, the Warner School has begun a systematic study of the EPO project at East High. This study is led by Joanne Larson, the Michael W. Scandling Professor of Education and the chair of the Teaching and Curriculum Program at the Warner School.
  • The School of Nursing invited Warner to partner in offering a new master’s program in nursing education. This program will complement the existing M.S. in Health Professions Education, and is part of an overarching effort to leverage educational knowledge and skills to improve how patient care and overall health care are delivered.
