Purpose: ME Dept. 3D Printing turns students' CAD models into printed plastic parts for ME student projects.
Available to: ME curricular projects. Allowances for non-department and non-curricular projects may be made but cannot supercede ME curricular project needs, and may require student operation plus prerequisite training if printing large quantities. Training can be scheduled with Mike Ricci.
Access: Email your .STL model file to Mike Ricci.
Note: Most 3D modeling programs have a feature for exporting models as .STL files. Other file types are incompatible with the printers' software.
