December 10, 2022

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED

Location: Kessler Forum, Gleason

Open to ALL UR Undergrads and Rochester community members. Make a presentation or just come to listen.

Email UR Debate Director Brady Fletcher at brady.fletcher@rochester.edu with questions.

Presentations

Compose a seven-minute presentation that addresses the prompt, "How can we achieve reproductive justice after the Dobbs Supreme Court decision?" Presentations should include proposals that promote equitable access to reproductive healthcare, whether that be through legislative, electoral, or direct service strategies.

UR Debate's Argument and Advocacy Forum series seeks to explore specific advocacies for addressing contemporary problems in a civil and constructive way. Presentations can include any mode of self-expression or communication one wishes, whether that be spoken word, dance, drama, images, or other forms. Remember to address your presentations to our panel of scholars and community advocates, who will be evaluating and ranking the presentations. While we value the educational mission of this event above all, the best presentations will be recognized at the end.

Want to present but unsure about where to start? Need some help perfecting your presentation? Come and get help from debate union members and coaches! Membership in the debate union is not required.
