Daniel Berkowitz received the Anna Sobol Levy Fellowship from the Rothberg
International School. The fellowship allows candidates to study the subject
of their choice at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Daniel is planning a
career in the U.S. diplomatic corps. . . . Sharon Gresham married Matthew
Rainka on July 7, 2001. She is a health care associate for PricewaterhouseCoopers
in Boston, and he is pursuing a doctorate at the Massachusettes Institute of
Technology. . . . Carolyn Holloway was designated a Navy Flight Officer
while serving with the 12th Flying Training Wing in Randolph Air Force Base,
Texas. The designation culminated 18 months of flight training. . . . Wesley
Johnson writes that he appeared as a student panelist on ABC's Nightline
with Ted Koppel on November 2, 2001, in a segment titled "Voices of
Dissent." He was part of a University of Maryland graduate students panel
interacting with Arab Fulbright Scholars. The program also featured the creator
of the comic strip Boondocks and Indian novelist Arundhati Roy, known
for her novel The God of Small Things, which mentions the University.

Robert Mendez received his commission as a naval officer after completing
Officer Candidate School at Naval Aviation Schools Command in Pensacola, Fla.
