Returning Students

Residence halls officially open at 9 a.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2025 for returning students. All room change students are required to return. Area Offices will be open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

New Arrivals

Residence halls open at noon on Friday, January 17, 2025, for new arrivals (new students, transfers, or return from study abroad or leave of absence.) New student check-in is noon – 8 p.m. Students may check in at their area office.

There are five Area Office locations on campus. Please ensure you are reaching out to the correct area office. All students will check in at their Area Office.

*Innovation Square Residents will pick up their keys at the front desk at Innovation Square, 100-140 S Clinton Ave, Rochester, NY 14604. Innovation Square. Innovation Square’s desk is open 24 hours a day.

After Hours Instructions

If you arrive outside of check-in hours, you may be let into your room in the same manner as a lockout. The Lock Out Desks open on Thursday, January 16^th and will be operating regular hours. Specific information and instructions can be found on our Lock Outs page.

Please note, Area Offices will be closed on Monday, January 20^th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Students who need to be let into their rooms on this day should follow the weekend lock out protocol on the Lock Outs page.
