  • All-time winningest college basketball coach with 951 wins in 40 years at Broome Community College and four years at Binghamton University
  • BCC gym renamed The Richard E. Baldwin Gymnasium in October, 1988
  • Has never missed any of 1,277 games
  • Recently featured nationally by ABC News, The New York Times, The Daily News, and Sports Illustrated
  • Inducted as charter member in JNCAA (JUCO) Hall of Fame in 1984, in NACDA (Athletic Directors) Hall of Fame in 1988, and New York State Basketball Hall of Fame in 1993
  • Past president and four-time golf club champion at Binghamton Country Club
  • Continues as the head coach at Binghamton University
  • Passed away in 2012
