  • Had a three-year record of 11-4 for the baseball team as a pitcher
  • Called "…One of the best pitchers ever to perform for Rochester…" by Head Coach Lou Alexander, Sr.
  • Hit .429 as a junior
  • His senior year basketball team was 12-3, considered the finest of the decade
  • Member of Sigma Chi
  • Graduated in 1952 with a B.S. in Business Administration

Post-Graduate:

  • Entered the U.S. Air Force in November, 1952 serving as an Information and Education Specialist from 1952-56
  • Served in Korea in 1955
  • Earned an M.S. in Business Administration with a minor in Insurance from Columbia University Graduate School of Business in 1957
  • Associate, Blades & MacAulay Insurance Advisors, 1957-60
  • Joined Kemper Insurance in 1960 - Assistant to Eastern Region Sales Manager, 1960-64; Manager of the Cleveland, OH Service Office from 1964-67; Sales Manager of Ohio Department, 1967-68; Branch Manager, 1968-70
  • Also served as Executive Vice President of Richland Knox Mutual Insurance Co.
  • Sales Manager and Assistant to Branch Manager for Southern California and Arizona, 1970-74
  • Moved to Protection Mutual Insurance Co., 1974; District Manager, 1974-88; Senior Account Executive, 1988-93
  • Retired August 1, 1993
