• Recipient of John R. Williams Order of Merit, presented by Oak Hill Country Club, as well as the Elliott Cushing Award and the Morrie Silver Award from the Rochester Press-Radio Club
• Founding member of the Hall of Fame for the Department of Sports and Recreation
• 1993 recipient of the Lysle "Spike" Garnish Memorial Citation
• Inducted into second class of University of Rochester Hall of Fame
