  • Lettered in football, track and field, and basketball
  • Captained the 1941 football team which finished 6-1
  • Ran anchor on the 4x400 relay team at the Penn Relays in all four seasons
  • Ran both the 440 and 200 relay events
  • Elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Psi Upsilon

Post-Graduate:

  • Commissioned in U.S. Naval Reserve after graduation from Abbott Hall Midshipmens' School (Northwestern University) and U.S. Submarine School in New London, CT
  • Served in Pacific Theatre aboard submarine USS Toro
  • Graduated from Harvard Law School
  • Associate with Nixon, Hargrave, Devans, and Dey in Rochester, 1948-55
  • General law practice in Avon, NY since 1955
  • Member, Livingston County, Monroe County, and New York Sate Bar Associations
  • Numerous community activities with Boy Scouts of America, Genesee Council, including Executive Committee, Fund Drive Chair, and Financial Chair of Livingston County
  • Passed away in 2014
