At Rochester:

  • Played football from 1960 (freshman team) through 1964
  • Two-way starter for the freshmen
  • Started on defense as a sophomore and played on offense as a guard and an end
  • Two-way starter junior season, named game co-captain several times
  • Team captain as a senior
  • All-East Small College by the New York Tribune
  • Team MVP as a senior
  • Graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1966

Post-Graduate:

  • Spent one year in the aerospace industry, then enlisted in the U.S. Army (Honor Graduate from Artillery Officer Candidate School)
  • Served one year in Vietnam, earning the Bronze Star
  • Earned an M.B.A. from Columbia University in June, 1970
  • Started his business career at Fleet Bank in Rhode Island, then moved to New York in 1976 and served as Chief Financial Officer for a major savings and loan institution
  • From 1980-89, worked first with Citibank, then with Bankers Trust
  • In 1989, started his own company in the Mortgage Financial area, that now has offices across the United States with headquarters on Wall Street
  • Now serves as Chairman, President, and CEO of Hanover Capital Mortgage Holdings, Inc., listed on the American Stock Exchange
