At Rochester:

• Participated in football and track
• Earned Little All-America honors from the Associated Press in 1949
• Earned a Baccalaureate Degree in Geology in 1951

Post-Graduate:

• Earned his M.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1961
• Held residencies in general and orthopaedic surgery at the University of California Hospital in San Francisco and University Hospital in Cleveland, OH
• Settled in Reno, NV in 1966, and was the team physician for the University of Nevada for 25 years
• Helped to start the University of Nevada School of Medicine in 1972
• Associate Professor of Surgery, 1972-95
• Retired from practice in 1995
