At Rochester:

  • Played football in all four years, competed in track and field for three seasons, basketball for three seasons, and baseball in his freshman year
  • Set the University broad (long) jump record
  • Won the Jacobs Cup in his sophomore year as the top scorer in freshman basketball

Post-Graduate:

  • Following graduation from the University in 1939, he worked for Swift & Co. in Chicago, a merchandising firm
  • From 1942-46, he served in the U.S. Army and took graduate level courses in Personnel Psychology at Cornell University
  • Worked as a psychologist for the U.S. Veterans Administration, 1946-50
  • Joined Curtis Publishing Company in Philadelphia in 1950 and stayed through 1957
  • Moved to Dundee Mills, Inc. where he stayed for 29 years (1957-1986) in varying capacities: District Sales Manager in Philadelphia, Marketing Manager in New York City, Vice President and National Sales Manager in New York City
