Post-Graduate:

  • Received his M.D. degree in 1944 from Yale University School of Medicine
  • Served as a captain in the U.S. Army Medical Corps from 1945-47
  • Appointed Chief Radiologist at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles in 1952
  • Moved to St. Louis in 1954 to teach at Washington University and work at Barnes Hospital
  • Chief of Radiology for Sharp Memorial Hospital and San Diego Children's Hospital in 1960
  • Planned and supervised construction of radiology department between 1963 and 1966
  • Later served as San Diego's Clairemont Hospital, Centre City Hospital, and Mission Bay Hospital
  • Member of the San Diego Radiological Society and Fellow of the American College of Radiology
  • Dr. Humphrey passed away in 1992
