  • Played with the soccer team before graduating with an Economics degree in 1954

Post-Graduate:

  • Served in the U.S. Army, 1954-56
  • Joined the insurance industry upon discharge
  • Returned to his alma mater as Assistant Director of the University of Rochester Fund in 1960
  • Named Associate Director of the University Development Office in 1963, promoted to Director in 1966
  • Campaign Director of $102 Million Campaign for Rochester in 1975
  • Named Assistant Vice President for University Relations in 1975
  • Named Vice President for University Relations in 1981, responsible for University Development, Alumni, and Public Relations
  • Named Vice President and General Secretary for the University in 1987, responsible for Trustees Relations and Major Fundraising Efforts
  • Retired from the University on November 1, 1997
  • Served as Vice President Emeritus and Special Assistant to the President until his passing in 2002
