At Rochester:

  • Three-year starter on soccer team
  • Captain of 1957 nationally-ranked unbeaten team
  • Played every spot except left wing
  • One letter for basketball
  • Three letters for track and field
  • Set school record in the high jump
  • Competed in hurdle events and threw the javelin
  • Awarded the Louis Alexander Alumni Award in 1958
  • Member Delta Kappa Epsilon and various honor societies
  • Earned a B.A. in Chemistry

Post-Graduate:

  • Entered the U.S. Air Force as Second Lieutenant
  • M.S. in meteorology from St. Louis University in 1960
  • Graduate studies in meteorology and oceanography at Texas A&M University
  • Served in U.S. Air Force as a weather officer with tours of duty in various states, the Far East, and Europe
  • Retired as a Lt. Colonel in 1979
  • Director of Planning for Air Quality of St. Louis region
  • Rejoined the Air Force as a civilian meteorologist in 1982
  • Earned a B.S. in Computer Information Management from the College of St. Mary
  • Currently Deputy Chief, Software Branch, Air Force Global Weather Center
