At Rochester:

  • Tremendous student-athlete who excelled in basketball all four years at Rochester
  • Immediate impact as a freshman, he was chosen as the 1985 ECAC Upstate New York Division III Rookie of the Year (the first Rochester player to do so)
  • Captain of team his junior and senior seasons
  • Led them to 2 ECAC post-season bids during his four seasons
  • Finished career at Rochester ranked 2nd in rebounding (773) and 5th in scoring (1181) and among the leaders in many other categories
  • Standout in the classroom as well as being named an Academic All-American, was a Rhodes Scholar nominee, and a finalist for an NCAA Post Graduate Scholarship
  • Member of Phi Beta Kappa and President of the Keidaeans (Rochester's senior honor society), he received the Terry Prize in 1988 as the "male member of the senior class who has done the most for the life anc character of the senior class on the University of Rochester campus"
  • He was also the subject of a Sports Illustrated feature in its 1987-1988 College Basketball issue

Post-Graduate:

  • Earned his MBA from Harvard in 1993
  • Has worked for McCown DeLeeuw & Co. in New York since 1993
  • MidOcean Partners, Managing Director
  • Serves on 5 Boards of Directors
  • Resides in New York City with his wife, Karen, and their 2 children
