Cynthia Barnes writes that she graduated from Rutgers Law School in May 2001. . . . Louis Lange, a member of the Board of Trustees and chairman and CEO of CV Therapeutics, Inc., has been elected to the board of directors of Galileo Laboratories, Inc. The company is developing and commercializing products to treat and prevent cardiovascular disease.

Anders Henriksson compiled 569 mangled moments of Western civilization from college students for his book Non Campus Mentis, published by Workman Press. Anders is a professor of history at Shepherd College in West Virginia. . . . James Moloshok is founder and managing director of Windsor Digital, an entertainment and investment company, and was previously the president and CEO of Entertaindom.com, Time Warner's online entertainment site. . . . Kenneth Shore published his book, Keeping Kids Safe, a parents' guideline for finding child care, keeping their children safe, and other situations. . . . Ann Weiss published The Last Album: Eyes from the Ashes of Auschwitz-Birkenau, composed of about 400 photos from the Holocaust period.

John Davies '73S (MBA), founder of AOL International, has been named to the board of directors at Tickets.com. Joining America Online in 1993, he served as president of the international division since 1994. . . . Philip Fulton has joined Michuda Construction, Inc. of the Chicago area as vice president of marketing and business development. . . . James Goetsch has joined Swift Rivers, Inc., a provider of enterprise software for returns management systems, as senior vice president of sales. . . . Alan Konell published his book, Partnership Tools, which offers well-defined, user-friendly tools for helping readers transform their relationships. . . . Paula Lapin joined Hiscock & Barclay, L.L.P., as a partner specializing in commercial real estate and real estate finance.

Anita Schubert was appointed cantor of Temple Beth Sholom in Hartford, Conn. She was one of the first women inducted into the Cantors Assembly, an arm of the Jewish Theological Seminary.

Alan Farnsworth was named corporate senior vice president and president of the Europe region at Bausch & Lomb, Inc. . . . Eric Hume has been named secretary of the Thomas Jefferson University Volunteer Fac-ulty Association. He is a clinical associate professor of orthopaedic surgery at Jefferson Medical College with a practice in hip and knee reconstruction. . . . Richard Levine '78M (MD) sends an update. He became a fellow of the American College of Radiology, the culmination of 16 years of publishing, teaching, and active involvement in local and state radiological societies. He is a clinical professor of radiology at St. Louis University. . . . Andrew Morrison was appointed chief financial officer of American Science & Engineering, Inc. He formerly served in the same role for Digital Goods and AAF-McQuay, Inc. . . . Wayne Sharfin has been named vice president of engineering at Aegis Semiconductor, Inc., a developer of embedded components for monitoring advanced optical networks.

She is a partner at Osborn, Reed, & Burke, L.L.P. . . . Eric Horodas writes that his son, Kevin, is a freshman at Rochester this year. . . . Barbara Levine has been named vice president of strategic business initiatives of PharMetrics, Inc., a provider of patient-level healthcare data to the pharmaceutical and managed care industries. . . . H. Thomas McMeekin joined Prudential Investment Management. . . . Fran Weisberg, former chair of the Monroe County Democratic Committee in Rochester, was appointed president and CEO of Lifespan of Greater Rochester, Inc.

Joel Beckman, a partner in Greenbriar Equity Group, helped the group close its inaugural fund with $700 million. . . . Stephen Bonadies was named deputy director of the Cincinnati Art Museum in May 2001. A member of the staff since 1981, Stephen had been director of museum services since 1998. . . . Edward Reisman writes that his wife, Ellen, gave birth to their son, Daniel Judah, on January 30, 2001. He joins his brothers, Sam, 13, and Michael, 3.

Richard Boon, president of Construction Support Services in Littleton, Colo., received a 2001 Award of Merit from the American Society for Testing and Materials and the accompanying title of fellow. . . . Robert Bly has published two new books, PR Kit for Dummies with Eric Yaverbaum and Getting Started in Speaking, Training, or Seminar Consulting. He is working on a new book titled Writing Copy for the Web. He also edits a monthly newsletter published by Economics Press, Bits & Pieces for Salespeople. . . . Samuel Hubbard, Jr. headed the buyout group that purchased the Genesee brands and the High Falls Brewing Co. in December of 2000. Now president and CEO of High Falls Brewing Co. L.L.C., he is seeking to expand sales. . . . Samuel Shatkin, Jr., a plastic surgeon, was inducted into Rochester's Hall of Fame October 12, 2001. A former running back, he gained a team-leading 1,215 yards in his junior year and was named the Yellowjackets' most valuable player as a senior. . . . William Thomas headed the expansion of Mikimoto, a chain of high-end jewelry stores, into several cities in California, including the store's first location in Beverly Hills.
