1961
Donald Barra retired as artistic director of the San Diego Chamber Orchestra, which he founded in 1984. He is now conductor laureate. He plans to write, travel, and guest conduct other ensembles.

1963
Richard Schwartz ’66 (Mas) received the Joe U. Posner Founder’s award from the Rochester Area Community Foundation, its highest award, for his service to the foundation and promotion of philanthropy. Richard serves on the University’s Trustees Alumni Council of the College and chairs its nominating committee.

Leonard Florescue (see ’04 School of Medicine). . . . Barbara Lustig has joined Midi, an e-learning company in Princeton, N.J., as lead writer and instructional designer. She also became a member of Mensa. . . . Edward Spencer was promoted to associate vice president for student affairs at Virginia Tech. Previously, he was assistant vice president for student programs.

1968
Henry Fader, a partner with the Philadelphia law firm Pepper Hamilton, has been elected chairman of the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry. . . . Jeffrey Warner joined U.S. Trust as senior vice president and head of commercial real estate. Previously, he was with Citibank for 27 years, where he held various real estate positions, including deputy division head. After retiring, he cofounded Concourse Realty Group and became an adjunct professor at New York University, teaching real estate finance at the graduate level. Jeffrey and his wife, Eileen, live in New York City.

1969
Karen Adams-Rischmann is the author of the German-language detective novel Strassenfeger. . . . Michael Isaacs won a spot on the East Greenwich, R.I., town council in last November’s election. Michael is also president of the town’s finance board. . . . Jeffrey Livingston is senior vice president and deputy general counsel of Computer Associates International. . . . Arnold Wolfe was promoted to full professor of communications at Illinois State University last August. He wrote “Over to You,” a study of the antitrust case against Microsoft, which was published in the January 2004 issue of the journal Popular Music.
