The scholarship allowed Nancy to pursue her passion
for nursing and receive her master’s degree, something
to which she had aspired for many years.

Nancy reflected on her own experiences at the School of
Nursing and decided to pay it forward with a blended gift, which
includes both lifetime contributions and a bequest. Her long-
term pledge has established the Nancy Morris Swank ’03N
(MS) Endowed Nursing Scholarship, supporting students at the
School of Nursing. Just as she found a life-changing opportunity
in the Friedlander Scholarship, she hopes her scholarship will
allow future nurses to achieve their educational goals as well.
