The University of Rochester is committed to providing inclusive experiences and equal access to programs and services. If you anticipate needing any type of disability accommodation during any Rochester Ready (online orientation program) events or Welcome Weeks, please complete the request form below.

If possible, please complete the request form no later than 2 weeks prior to the event date. However, in all situations, a good faith effort (up until the time of the event or program) will be made to provide accommodations.

Video and webinar accessibility

We are committed to providing online orientation videos and live webinars that are accessible to individuals with disabilities. Please note that:

  • All videos will contain closed captions at the time they are made available.
  • All live webinars will have computer-generated captions available.

Welcome Week

On-campus event accessibility

Welcome Week events are located throughout River Campus and may involve travel off-campus to nearby University locations. Events will likely take place both outdoors and indoors, and in both large and small classrooms and event spaces. Standing and walking may be required for extended periods of time. Disability accommodation requests

We are committed to providing programs and experiences that are accessible to all incoming students and their families, including individuals with disabilities. If you require any of the following disability accommodations during any virtual events during Rochester Ready, Fall Welcome Week, or Spring Welcome Week for equal access due to a disability, please complete the request form using the button below:

*Please note: An accessible parking accommodation reserves a designated accessible parking space in one of the lots on River Campus, provided you have an official disability parking permit. The lot you park in may still be a significant walking distance from your destination on campus, so please make sure to bring any mobility aids with you.

As an undergraduate student, you have a variety of services available to you through the Office of Disability Resources.
