IORA

What is IORA ?

IORA (Integrated Online Research Administration) is the system used for grants and agreements management at the University of Rochester. IORA is a comprehensive suite of software solutions capable of managing various research functions, from proposal development, review routing and submission to award administration and closeout. The system houses all funded and unfunded agreements and replaced the previous grants database, Coeus, which was in use from 1997 through early 2021. The University’s Institutional Review Board (Click IRB) is also part of IORA suite.

IORA streamlines and automates many of our processes, allowing for transparency and consistency in budgeting and reporting.

Grants Reporting coming soon

IORA proposal and award data are sent to the University’s Data Warehouse nightly. IBM Cognos Analytics software is being used to develop a series of canned, preformatted proposal and award reports that will provide users with the flexibility to tailor reports to meet many of their data needs. Reports can be generated as a PDF file or can be saved into other data formats (e.g. CSV, Excel) for further manipulation.

Coeus proposal and award data from 1997 – January 2021 continues to be available in the Data Warehouse.
