Off-Campus Professional Development
The Teaching Center provides instructors with teaching professional development funding to attend off-campus conferences and workshops on higher education pedagogy and the scholarship of teaching and learning. Instructors are eligible if they have already participated in Teaching Center programming and teach courses primarily enrolling AS&E students. Grant requests are review on a rolling basis until funds are depleted.
Eligible off-campus professional development should be focused on teaching. In general, academic disciplinary conferences with a small element focused on teaching are not eligible. Instructors might consider some of the following conferences:
