At Rochester, there are systems you'll need to become familiar with in order to complete both your orientation program and your studies. Learn more about each of these platforms and how you'll use them during your time at Rochester.
The University currently uses three primary login accounts for its platforms and systems: NetID, Active Directory (AD), and Microsoft Entra ID. To help avoid confusion, we've listed what login credentials are used for each platform/system below.
As an incoming student, these accounts will be assigned to you once you officially enroll at the University.
Your NetID and Active Directory (AD) username should be the same: a combination of your first initial, last name, and a number.
Your Microsoft EntraID username will be your University of Rochester email address, which should end in u.rochester.edu.

Blackboard is the University's learning management system. You'll start using this system during your Rochester Ready program to complete some required tasks on the new student checklist.
Once you officially begin classes, this platform will be the home of your courses online. While each instructor may use the platform a bit differently, you can expect most of your course materials to be housed in Blackboard.

As an enrolled student, you will already be familiar with MyROC, the School of Arts & Sciences and Hajim School of Engineering & Applied Sciences admissions portal.
Throughout Rochester Ready, you'll still need to access the system in order to complete a few required forms, like the Academic Interests and Parent and Family Information Update forms.

PathwayU is a free career guidance platform that provides insight into your interests, values, personality, and workplace preferences, allowing you to make informed decisions by identifying meaningful education and career paths that fit to your needs.
You'll set up your PathwayU account during Rochester Ready (as part of the new student checklist) and continue to use it throughout your time at Rochester to help you explore majors, career paths, and internships that align with your skills and interests.

UR Student (Workday) is the University's primary student administration system and where you'll manage your course registration and keep track of your academic progress towards graduation.
You'll first use UR Student to register for your first-semester courses during your Rochester Ready online orientation program. The New Student Academic Guide website has helpful tips and tutorials for ensuring your first UR Student registration experience is successful.

Your student Gmail account is where you'll receive all official communications from the University, including the Rochester Ready newsletter, which includes important information and key deadlines for getting ready for your first semester. You'll log into your Gmail account using your NetID credentials.
Login account: Active Directory credentials
CCC is an event and organization directory platform that allows you to easily find student organizations and events happening throughout campus. You can also register for events, buy tickets, and use the app to check into specific events and activities.
Log into CCCLogin account: Your GrubHub login credentials
The University of Rochester has a GrubHub Campus Dining account, where you can order food and drinks for pick-up from eateries across campus.
Download the GrubHub app from your device app store, tap Account, select Campus Dining, locate University of Rochester in the dropdown menu, and verify your school affiliation.
Please note: You need a GrubHub account to utilize the University's campus dining account.

My Parking Online is the University's parking portal that allows you to purchase permits, add yourself to permit waitlists, and manage citations. While first-year students are not allowed to bring cars to campus, you may use this system in the future if you bring a car back to campus with you for following years.
If you are an incoming commuter student, you'll need to follow the instructions listed on the new student checklist for purchasing a parking permit through this portal.

StarRez is the University's residential life portal where you'll apply for on-campus housing and select your dining plan each year throughout your time at URochester.

The TripShot app helps you track the University of Rochester shuttle buses in real time and stay up to date on service changes.
Simply download the free app from your device's app store. Once downloaded, select Choose Public System and then, University of Rochester Shuttle.

FAOnline is the University's online financial aid system, allowing you to access your financial aid information at your convenience. You can review your financial aid packages, confirm when aid has been disbursed, and find important deadlines and requirements for each year.

UR Student (Workday) is the University's primary student administration system and where you can view and pay your tuition bill. You'll use UR Student ahead of your first semester to pay your first tuition bill during your Rochester Ready online orientation program.

UHSConnect is a secure web portal that is fully integrated with your electronic health record at the University, allowing you to message your providers, view labs and other test results, and receive immunization records.
You will set up your UHSConnect account during your Rochester Ready online orientation program and use the platform to submit your required health forms. You'll log into UHSConnect with your Active Directory credentials.
Duo is the University's two-factor authentication system, used to better protect your data in University systems and platforms. After activating your student account upon enrollment, you will be prompted to set up Duo on your devices.

Remote Photo is an online ID photo system that University IT uses to collect the photo for your ID card ahead of your arrival to campus. As long as you upload a photo by the deadline listed on the new student checklist, your ID card will be printed ahead of your arrival for you to pick-up during Welcome Week.
Login account: Microsoft EntraID credentials (University email and password)
URcompass is a secure online platform where you can submit required information and documents as an international student. Managed by the International Services Office (ISO), you'll first use URcompass when completing ISO's New Student Intake Form to request your Form I-20.
