Research

The University of Rochester has summer research opportunities for high school, undergraduate, and graduate students.

High school students

High school students should visit the following pages for information about summer research programs at Rochester:

Undergraduate students

We have a strong history of undergraduate research and some of our programs are open to non-University of Rochester students. An updated list of summer research programs can be found on the Office of Undergraduate Research's summer programs page.

Students can also contact faculty directly to ask about participating in their research. Know you'd like to do research over the summer, but not sure where to begin? Contact the Office of Undergraduate Research.

Graduate students

Graduate students should talk to their advisor about what the department's expectations are for summer research and the opportunities available. Students can also directly contact faculty they'd like to work with.
