                          Salted Caramel Apple Pie






        SERVES: 8-10                       PREP TIME: 35 min                  COOK TIME: 1 hr




        INGREDIENTS:                        DIRECTIONS:

        Crust:                              To prepare crust: In a food processor, combine cold butter
        2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour         and flour into pea-sized bits. Mix together ice water, vinegar,
                                            and salt, then add to flour-butter mixture. Dough should be
                                            crumbly but comes together when pressed. Transfer dough
        1   cup (8 oz) unsalted butter      to a lightly floured surface and split into two equal pieces,
                                            flatten each into a disc, then wrap tightly and chill in fridge for
        1/3 cup ice-cold water              2 hours.


        1   tbsp apple cider vinegar        To prepare filling: Whisk together 1 cup of granulated sugar
                                            and 1/4 cup of water in a medium saucepan, and cook over
                                            medium-low heat until sugar is dissolved. Add butter, raise
        1/2 tsp salt                        heat to medium, and bring to a slow boil. Continue cooking
                                            just until mixture turns a deep golden brown. Remove from
