                                                             OF NURSING


                                                             •  Scholarship support provided financial aid to hundreds
                                                               of students, allowing future nurse leaders to pursue a
                                                               nursing education, and helping to address the national
                                                               shortages of nurses and nursing faculty.

                                                             •  Nurse researchers received pilot project and seed
                                                               funding to help promote wellness, develop and
                                                               evaluate clinical treatments, and optimally manage
                                                               patients’ conditions.
                                                             •  Annual support continued to help launch new
                                                               educational programs to meet the growing need for
                                                               nurses, the largest health care workforce. These flexible

                                                               forefront in a dynamic health care environment.

                                                             AND DENTISTRY


                                                             •  The School is dedicated to training humanistic
                                                               physicians who will be future leaders in clinical
                                                               medicine, research, and administration. Scholarships
                                                               helped the School continue to attract and successfully
                                                               compete for the nation’s top medical and graduate
                                                               students, and kept their graduation debt far below the
                                                               national average.

                                                             •  Philanthropic support is moving medicine forward.
                                                               More than 3,000 faculty and staff are dedicated to
                                                               scientific research, studying common and rare illnesses
                                                               from cancer and heart disease to Parkinson’s and
            $1.1M                                              pandemic influenza. These efforts have led to therapies

                                                               that have saved countless lives and improved human
                                                               health locally, nationally, and across the globe.

                                                             •  Funding helps physicians lead studies in centers such as
                                                               the Center for Musculoskeletal Research, building a
                                                               bridge between laboratory findings and patient care.
