SCHOOL
OF NURSING
• Scholarship support provided financial aid to hundreds
of students, allowing future nurse leaders to pursue a
nursing education, and helping to address the national
shortages of nurses and nursing faculty.
• Nurse researchers received pilot project and seed
funding to help promote wellness, develop and
evaluate clinical treatments, and optimally manage
patients’ conditions.
• Annual support continued to help launch new
educational programs to meet the growing need for
nurses, the largest health care workforce. These flexible
$113,808 funds keep our nursing education programs at the
forefront in a dynamic health care environment.
SCHOOL
OF MEDICINE
AND DENTISTRY
• The School is dedicated to training humanistic
physicians who will be future leaders in clinical
medicine, research, and administration. Scholarships
helped the School continue to attract and successfully
compete for the nation’s top medical and graduate
students, and kept their graduation debt far below the
national average.
• Philanthropic support is moving medicine forward.
More than 3,000 faculty and staff are dedicated to
scientific research, studying common and rare illnesses
from cancer and heart disease to Parkinson’s and
$1.1M pandemic influenza. These efforts have led to therapies
that have saved countless lives and improved human
health locally, nationally, and across the globe.
• Funding helps physicians lead studies in centers such as
the Center for Musculoskeletal Research, building a
bridge between laboratory findings and patient care.
