Award Management - Independent Contractor & Small Business Vendor

The Worker Classification Policy, Employee vs. Independent Contractor will govern the decision to determine whether or not an individual may be engaged as a Consultant or Independent Contractor. All staffing requirements are to be considered employee relationships and paid through the University payroll process unless proven otherwise. In unique situations, departments may purchase services from independent contractors (individuals or firms).
