Student Software Access
To better allow for teaching in times of disruption, the Event and Classroom Management (ECM) Public Computing Team has outlined ways to access the software you have access to on our computers in labs and classrooms. Below is information about remotely accessing the computers on campus and information about software that you can install on your own computer.
Additionally, here is further information on Learning During Times of Distuption.
Remote Access to Lab Computers
ECM offers a small pool of computers to provide remote access to lab software via desktop.rochester.edu.
Find more information about how to access at Virtual Desktop Tutorials.
Software for Personally Owned Machines
Some software requires licensing. To access "See Blackboard for..." links, visit https://learn.rochester.edu and log in with your Active Directory account. The information is available under the Services tab, then the Software sub-tab.
If you are experiencing an issue with ECM supported software, please call the ECM Help Desk at (585) 275-9014 or submit a ticket directly using the online service request form.
For non-ECM supported computers on River Campus, please call the University IT Help Desk at (585) 275-2000 or contact your departmental desktop support staff directly.
