As part of the Intellectual Property and Commercializing Technology Lecture Series sponsored by UR Ventures, a lecture on “Technology Commercialization at the University of Rochester” will be presented on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 from noon to 1:00 p.m. in the Gowen Room on the second floor of Wilson Commons. The lecture will focus on the complex process of bringing innovative technologies from the “bench-top to the bedside”. It will touch on a variety of important topics, including: reasons for an academic researcher to engage in the commercialization process, the transfer of innovation from the University to Industry, and research innovation vs. commercial product.
