Graduate and Family Housing
Goler House, University Park, and Whipple Park

Highlights
Graduate and Family Housing consists of three apartment complexes with a variety of options. There are studio, one bedroom, two bedroom, and three bedroom options available. Some of the options in Goler include furnishings, the rest of the options are unfurnished.
One student is assigned as the leaseholder of the apartment. In two and three bedroom apartments, the leaseholder can choose to bring in another eligible University of Rochester student as a roommate.
Eligibility
Any University of Rochester full-time graduate student, accelerated nursing students (ABSN), medical students, postgraduate trainees (Including eligible postdoctoral trainees and fellows, residents/interns, and fellows of the School of Medicine and Dentistry and the Eastman Institute for Oral Health as determined by University benefits code.)
Contract
The lease is legally binding for the length of the lease agreement but will be canceled in cases of degree completion, leave of absence, withdrawal from the University, or any other change that affects student eligibility for University housing.
Valentine Tower–Southside Living Area

Highlights
Valentine is a residence hall that consists of two-bedroom furnished suites. Each suite has two single bedrooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. One student is assigned to each bedroom. Photos, video, and floor plans can be found on our Southside Living Area page.
Eligibility
Master's students and School of Nursing (both accelerated BSN and master's programs) are eligible for Valentine Tower.
Contract
Each student is on their own housing contract. The contract is legally binding for the full 12-month term but will be canceled in cases of degree completion, leave of absence, withdrawal from the University, or any other change that affects student eligibility for University housing.
StarRez Login Instructions
Go to the StarRez website.
Enrolled or incoming students able to log into UR Student:
- Use the Rochester – Student SSO button.
Students not yet admitted OR Postdoctoral, Professional Trainee, or Fellows:
- Click “Register here” to register for an account. Once registered, use your new login credentials for future access.
Incoming students:
- At some point after you become active in Workday, Graduate Housing will merge your StarRez account with your student account. Once this happens, your written login will not work and you will need to log in using the Rochester – Student SSO.
